    • Can last from 4 hours to 72 hours
  4. Postdrome (Recovery Phase)
    • Feeling drained, weak, or confused
    • Some people feel unusually refreshed or energetic

During an Attack

  • Rest in a dark, quiet room – Helps reduce sensitivity to light and sound.

Medical Treatment

Preventive medicines – Doctors may prescribe beta-blockers, antidepressants, or anti-seizure drugs for frequent attacks.

Over-the-counter medicines – Pain relievers like ibuprofen, aspirin, or acetaminophen (taken early in the attack).

Triptans – Prescription drugs that specifically target migraine by narrowing brain blood vessels.
