“Milk + soda” sounds trendy, but your body doesn’t always agree with viral combinations. Here’s what actually happens when you drink milk-soda in summer:
🧪 What happens inside your body?
- Milk is slightly acidic + soda is highly carbonated and acidic
→ When mixed, it can curdle (फट सकता है) in your stomach, similar to paneer formation. - Gas formation increases
→ Soda releases carbon dioxide → can cause bloating, heaviness, and burping. - Digestion may slow down
→ Milk is already heavy; carbonation can make it harder to digest, especially in heat.
⚠️ Possible side effects
- Acidity & stomach irritation (especially if you already have gastric issues)
- Nausea or discomfort
- Loose motions in sensitive people
- Feeling sluggish instead of refreshed
🌡️ In summer — good or bad?
- Summer needs hydration + cooling foods
- Milk-soda does the opposite:
- Soda → dehydrates slightly
- Milk → heavy on digestion
👉 So instead of cooling you down, it may make you feel more uncomfortable in heat
✅ When is it okay?
- If you try it occasionally in small amounts, and your digestion is strong, it may not harm much
- But daily consumption = not recommended
🥤 Better summer alternatives
- Buttermilk (chaas)
- Coconut water
- Lemon water (nimbu pani)
- Plain cold milk or flavored milk (without soda)
🧠 Bottom line
Viral doesn’t mean healthy. Milk-soda is more of a fun experiment than a body-friendly drink—especially in summer.
