Many youth do not feel safe sharing their emotional struggles, which causes problems to remain hidden and grow more severe.

This delay in seeking treatment allows mental health conditions to worsen, sometimes leading to self-harm, addiction, or suicidal thoughts.

Additionally, global challenges such as pandemics, social isolation, violence, and uncertainty about the future have intensified mental health problems among youth. Exposure to constant negative news and instability increases fear, stress, and emotional exhaustion.

Importance of Early Awareness and Support

Mental illness is not a sign of weakness; it is a health condition that requires care and understanding. Early identification, open conversations, emotional support from family and friends, counseling, and professional treatment can significantly improve recovery. Schools, colleges, workplaces, and governments must work together to promote mental health awareness and provide accessible support systems.
