1. Sitting on the toilet for too long
Many people sit on the toilet while using their phone. Sitting for 10–15 minutes puts extra pressure on the rectal veins. This can lead to piles (hemorrhoids), constipation, and strain on pelvic muscles. Doctors suggest finishing within 5 minutes and avoiding scrolling.
2. Not cleaning properly after using the toilet (Most dangerous)
Improper cleaning allows bacteria from the anal area to spread to the urinary tract or private parts. This increases the risk of urinary tract infections (UTI), itching, and skin infections. Always clean front to back, use water if possible, and dry the area to prevent bacterial growth.
3. Ignoring the urge to go
Holding in stool repeatedly makes it hard and dry, leading to constipation. Over time, this can cause bloating, stomach pain, fissures, and piles. Going when your body signals helps maintain healthy bowel movements and gut health.
