1. Bright Red Blood
Bright red period blood usually means a healthy and steady flow. But if it continues unusually long, it may indicate hormonal imbalance or uterine fibroids.
2. Dark Red or Brown Blood
Brown or dark red blood is old blood leaving the uterus—normal at the beginning or end of a period. But if it lasts many days, it may signal slow shedding or infection.
3. Pink Blood
Pink blood often appears when the flow is light. It may indicate low estrogen levels, weak ovulation, or nutrient deficiency, especially if seen frequently.
4. Orange Blood
Orange blood may occur when period blood mixes with cervical fluid. If accompanied by strong smell, itching, or discomfort, it may signify infection.
5. Purple or Deep Burgundy Blood
This color is linked with high estrogen levels, thickened uterine lining, or heavy flow. It can also hint at PMS or blood clots.
6. Grayish Blood
Gray or grayish-white discharge can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis. It usually comes with bad smell or irritation and needs medical attention.
7. Very Watery Blood
A watery flow may point to anemia, low nutrients, or hormonal changes. If periods suddenly become too thin or pale, it’s worth discussing with a doctor.
