A heart attack doesn’t always start with severe chest pain. Many people mistake early warning signs for gas, acidity, muscle strain, or simple fatigue — and that delay can be dangerous. Here are 5 symptoms you should never ignore:
1️⃣ Chest Discomfort (Not Always Sharp Pain)
It may feel like:
- Pressure
- Tightness
- Burning sensation
- Heaviness in the chest
Some people describe it as “gas stuck in the chest.” If it lasts more than a few minutes or comes and goes, seek medical help.
2️⃣ Unusual Fatigue
Feeling extremely tired without heavy work — especially for days before — can be a warning sign.
This is more common in women.
3️⃣ Shortness of Breath
If you feel breathless while resting or doing light activity, it could mean your heart isn’t pumping properly.
4️⃣ Pain in Other Body Parts
Heart attack pain can spread to:
- Left or both arms
- Back
- Neck
- Jaw
- Shoulders
Many people think it’s muscle pain.
5️⃣ Nausea, Indigestion or Gas-like Feeling
- Bloating
- Vomiting sensation
- Stomach discomfort
These are often mistaken for acidity, but if combined with other symptoms, don’t ignore them.
🚨 When to Act?
If symptoms last more than 5–10 minutes, or feel unusual and intense:
- Sit down immediately
- Call emergency medical help
- Do not drive yourself
Early treatment can save your life.
